Wall Pilaster Application

Wall pilaster application is the installation of a half-embedded vertical pilaster body on a wall together with its capital and base pieces. In classical architecture the pilaster gives the look of a column slightly projecting from the surface and divides the wall into sections with vertical lines. It is used to frame window and door edges on living room, entrance hall and reception walls. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Because the body, capital and base are produced to the same dimensional standard, the pieces fit together neatly. Unlike timber it does not swell in moisture, and it installs faster than plaster. Polure produces the body, capital and base pieces for wall pilaster applications in matching dimensions.
