Positioned at the heart of living spaces, coffee tables serve as both functional surfaces and visual focal points of interior design. This exclusive collection by Polure combines classical architectural elements with modern manufacturing technologies to offer durable and aesthetic alternatives. High-density polymer technology, which eliminates the high costs and maintenance difficulties of traditional wood carving, marks a new era in furniture design. Boasting a density of 150-200 kg/m³, this raw material provides a hardness close to wood while its lightweight structure ensures easy transport and rearrangement.
Classical Architectural Details and Neoclassical Design Lines
The coffee table models in our collection draw inspiration from antique column capitals and pilaster leg structures. Designs featuring ideal dimensions, such as 595x595x765 mm, function beautifully as both central coffee tables and side units. The delicate fluting and Ionic or Corinthian capital details on the legs infuse spaces with noble character. Thanks to the precision of advanced molding technology, millimeter-perfect details are preserved in every motif. This ensures smooth, symmetrical surfaces as a standard—a quality highly challenging to achieve in traditional hand-carved wood.
Technical Advantages of High-Density Polymer Materials
Traditional furniture materials like wood and marble can be sensitive to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and physical impacts over time. Manufactured using rigid foam technology, our products offer numerous advantages due to their closed-cell structure:
- Water and Moisture Resistance: With a water absorption rate under 1%, they will not swell, rot, or mold in humid environments.
- Temperature Stability: They experience no dimensional distortion, expansion, or shrinkage at temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
- Lightweight and Durable: Significantly lighter than marble or cast iron tables, they offer high impact resistance and a shatterproof structure for long-lasting use.
- Easy Repairability: Any surface deformations can easily be filled with putty, sanded down, and repainted.
Important Details on Painting and Surface Preparation
Our products are shipped factory-coated with a special primer that enhances paint adhesion. This factory primer prepares the surface for the topcoat. However, since paint manufacturers do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional primer before the final coat is optional and left to the customer's discretion. Polure does not guarantee the performance of the paints used and accepts no liability. Water-based or synthetic paints can be easily applied to the products. If the products are to be used outdoors or in areas receiving direct sunlight, UV-resistant paints must be preferred to prevent yellowing.
Interior Design and Decoration Styling Tips
Square coffee table models serve as aesthetic filler elements, especially between accent chairs, at the intersection of sectional sofas, or in transitional areas of living rooms. Designs with a height of 765 mm act as ideal pedestals, not only for placing drinks but also for displaying elegant lighting fixtures or artistic objects like sculptures. In classical decors, these tables can be finished with gold leaf or distressing techniques, while in modern spaces, they can be painted in matte pastel tones to create a chic contrast.
Production and Quality Standards
Manufactured at Polure facilities, our coffee table models are crafted using high-quality casting techniques. This advanced technology, provided by the rigid polyurethane structure, offers ideal solutions for architects and interior designers seeking lightweight yet highly durable alternatives in the furniture world.
Usage Areas
Blending classical and modern architecture, our coffee table models offer versatile physical properties for a wide range of applications. Indoors, they serve as central coffee tables in living rooms, side tables next to sofas, decorative vase pedestals in entryways, or aesthetic nightstand alternatives in bedrooms. They create elegant focal points in high-traffic, prestigious commercial spaces such as hotel lobbies, restaurant waiting areas, office receptions, and boutique businesses. Thanks to their water absorption rate of under 1%, which makes them immune to moisture, they can also be safely used in semi-outdoor areas like sunrooms, indoor pool sides, enclosed balconies, and terraces.
Installation
Assembling and joining our products is highly practical, and mechanical fastening steps ensure safe use. First, make sure all surfaces to be joined are dry, clean, and free of dust. Only polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive should be used at the joints; silicone-based adhesives must absolutely be avoided. For joint strength and safety, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory. Any small gaps at screw heads and joints should be filled with high-quality putty, and once dry, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper. In the final stage, clean the surface, apply an optional primer, and complete the installation with two coats of paint.
Care Information
Caring for these rigid polymer tables is extremely easy. For daily cleaning, a slightly damp, soft microfiber cloth is sufficient. The smooth surface prevents dirt accumulation. Avoid using thinners, alcohol, harsh abrasive chemicals, or stiff brushes during cleaning, as these can damage the paint layer. Since the material does not rot, decay, or attract insects, it does not require periodic protective oil or varnish maintenance like traditional wooden tables.
