Decorative Niche Models and Wall Niches: A Shared Design Language with Brackets
This collection features decorative niches and wall bracket frames designed to work in harmony, both serving a unified purpose on different scales: establishing a defined focal point on your walls.
As a manufacturer, we craft both elements within matching profile families: wall niches frame your decorative accents, while bracket frames anchor light fixtures or wall elements. When used in the same space, their continuous profile lines create seamless architectural transitions.
Cross-section dimensions are updated dynamically: 102 × 170 mm - 250 × 680 mm. Products are manufactured within a density range of 150-220 kg/m³ (production target ~160 kg/m³) and delivered pre-coated with white 1K acrylic primer.
Depth and Elegance for Walls: Applique and Niche Designs
Wall recesses and decorative bracket consoles—among the most refined elements of classical architecture—reappear with modern vitality in contemporary living spaces. Wall appliques and niches transform flat surfaces by adding three-dimensional depth. Polure provides innovative polyurethane solutions that bypass the weight and fragility of traditional stone and plaster work. Manufactured with advanced raw material technology, these architectural features deliver high aesthetic standards alongside exceptional ease of installation.
High-Density Material Technology and Structural Durability
Designs in the Polure product lineup are manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane at 150-220 kg/m³ (production target ~160 kg/m³). This density delivers a surface hardness comparable to wood while keeping the components remarkably lightweight. Unlike plaster, which can crumble, crack, or absorb moisture over time, this structure provides long-lasting value to your projects. The closed-cell material maintains water absorption below 1%, preventing deformation even in humid environments. Operating reliably across temperatures of -100 °C / +80 °C, these products can also be specified for exterior facades with confidence.
Architectural Focal Points with Wall Brackets and Niches
Directing sightlines and highlighting feature zones is essential in interior design. Niche options like P08 (204x517x942 mm) and P09 (250x680x1070 mm) establish expressive display recesses in spacious living rooms, hotel lobbies, or grand villa entrances. Placing sculptures, vases, or targeted accent lighting inside these niches elevates the prestige of any room. Wall appliques serve as decorative console supports under door arches, alongside mirrors, or at the base of expansive wall panel layouts. Bold models like P507 (255x520x430 mm) reflect classical and baroque influences, while P509 (92x360x250 mm) and P6807 (102x336x170 mm) cater to architects seeking subtle, refined details. Additionally, model P6809 (112x506x172 mm) highlights vertical accents and functions as a decorative corbel feature on exterior facades.
Why Choose Polure Architectural Elements?
- Superior Detail Precision: Precision mold-casting ensures crisp, sharp motif clarity across every piece without the dulling typical of traditional plaster.
- Environmental Resistance: Completely immune to water, humidity, and decay, ensuring long-term integrity in bathrooms or outdoor applications.
- Workability: Easily cut, sanded, and screwed like wood; pre-primed surface accepts both water-based and synthetic paints effortlessly.
- Lightweight and Safe: Adds no structural load to building walls, enables fast installation, and minimizes risks of cracking or falling during vibration.
- Fire Retardant Properties: Flame-retardant formulation self-extinguishes when the heat source is removed, enhancing building safety.
Usage Areas
Wall appliques and niches suit a wide range of residential and commercial environments. Indoors, decorative niche installations create elegant welcoming points in grand foyers and villa entrances. In living and dining areas, symmetrically aligned niches and wall brackets serve as lighted accent displays for art objects or floral pieces. In bedrooms, placing appliques symmetrically within headboard paneling delivers refined hotel-suite styling. Commercial projects like offices, boutique hotels, and restaurants utilize wall niches to showcase curated items or display features that reflect brand quality. On exterior elevations, they serve as decorative corbel brackets flanking grand entryways or enhancing window surround assemblies to add architectural depth.
Installation
The wall surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust before installation. Mark the exact positioning of the niche or bracket using a spirit level. Make precise 45-degree miter cuts for corner joins where applicable. Never use standard silicone adhesive; apply high-strength polyurethane adhesive such as Polure Polfix into the bonding grooves on the back of the product. Press the element firmly against the wall and secure it mechanically with screws until cured to prevent slippage. Fill screw holes and joints with exterior-grade filler, sand smooth with 180–220 grit sandpaper once dry, and apply primer. Finish with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. For exterior installations, using UV-resistant paint is mandatory.
Care Information
Maintaining these resilient elements is straightforward and practical. Thanks to their anti-static surface properties, dust accumulation is minimal. Regular cleaning requires only wiping with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Because water absorption is under 1%, damp cleaning will not compromise the material. Avoid using abrasive chemicals or stiff brushes. If surface scratches occur due to impacts, simply spot-fill, sand lightly, and re-apply matching paint to restore the original finish.
