Ionic Bases

Polure Ionic bases feature elegant molded torus and scotia profiles designed specifically to support Ionic classical columns and wall pilasters. Molded from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these hollow bases deliver wood-like mechanical durability and crisp profile definition without adding heavy structural weight to floor surfaces. Featuring a closed-cell polymer structure with water absorption under 1%, they offer total moisture resistance and mold protection in damp interior spaces or exterior entryways. Operating reliably across temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C with Class B2 fire safety certification, each base comes factory pre-coated with white acrylic primer. Note that Polure Ionic bases are strictly decorative non-load-bearing components; structural column loads must be supported by an internal steel profile. Never pour concrete inside. Installation requires applying continuous polyurethane assembly adhesive on contact joints (silicone is strictly forbidden) and securing with countersunk mechanical screws. Fill screw holes with putty, sand smooth with 180-220 grit paper, and apply two coats of paint.
