Pilaster Bases

Polure pilaster bases deliver flat-backed architectural foundation plinths tailored specifically for wall pilasters and half-columns. Molded from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these pilaster bases offer wood-like mechanical durability while remaining light enough to mount effortlessly on drywall or masonry walls. Featuring a closed-cell polymer structure with water absorption under 1%, they offer complete moisture resistance and mold protection in damp interior spaces or exterior facades. Operating reliably across temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C with Class B2 fire safety certification, each base comes factory pre-coated with white acrylic primer. Note that Polure pilaster bases are strictly decorative non-load-bearing components; structural column loads must be supported by an internal steel profile. Installation requires applying a continuous bead of polyurethane assembly adhesive on rear contact faces (silicone is strictly forbidden), combined with countersunk mechanical screws. Fill screw recesses and joint lines with acrylic putty, sand smooth with 180-220 grit paper, and finish with two coats of paint.
