Corner Border Profile
Polure corner border profiles provide structured framing and protective edge definition along internal and external wall junctions. Molded from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this border profile delivers wood-like mechanical toughness while remaining lightweight to prevent wall load stress. Featuring a closed-cell structural matrix, its water absorption stays strictly below 1%, ensuring complete immunity to moisture, warping, rot, and mold in humid spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens. Fire-rated to class B2 and thermally stable between -100 °C / +80 °C, each profile length is supplied factory pre-coated in white acrylic primer. Installation requires clean, dry surfaces, applying a continuous bead of polyurethane assembly adhesive on wall contact backs, and compulsory mechanical fixing with countersunk screws. Silicone adhesive is strictly forbidden. Joint lines and screw indentations are filled with acrylic filler, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit paper, and finished with interior water-based or synthetic topcoats.
Frequently Asked Questions
What material is Polure corner border profile made from?
It is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), combining wood-like strength with lightweight handling and B2 fire class.
Can corner border profiles be installed in wet areas like bathrooms?
Yes. Water absorption is strictly under 1%, making it completely impervious to rot, swelling, or mold in humid rooms.
How is a corner border profile installed?
Apply continuous PU assembly adhesive to contact backs and secure with countersunk screws. Silicone is forbidden. Fill screw holes with putty and sand smooth.
What paint finish is recommended for corner border profiles?
Use interior water-based or synthetic paints for indoors, applied after light sanding with 180-220 grit paper.
