Moisture Resistant Moulding
Polure moisture resistant mouldings are engineered to withstand humid architectural environments like bathrooms, kitchens, and indoor pools. Molded from rigid high-density polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these durable architectural profiles exhibit less than 1% water absorption thanks to their closed-cell structure. They will not warp, rot, swell, or foster mold growth over time. Fire rated B2 and stable across extreme temperatures (-100 °C / +80 °C), each profile is pre-coated with factory white acrylic primer. Installation is executed using a fine-tooth hand or miter saw, continuous polyurethane assembly adhesive on all contact edges, countersunk mechanical screw fixings, acrylic filler, and water-based topcoat paint.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Polure moisture resistant moulding fully waterproof?
Its closed-cell polyurethane structure keeps water absorption below 1%, preventing rot and swelling.
What density material is used for moisture resistant moulding?
It is made of rigid high-density polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³) with wood-like strength.
Can moisture resistant moulding be installed in saunas or steam rooms?
It withstands temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C without dimensional distortion.
Is silicone adhesive permitted for installation?
No, silicone is forbidden; installation requires continuous polyurethane assembly adhesive.
