Interior Architectural Column
Polure interior architectural columns introduce classic grandiosity and structural framing to foyers, open-plan halls, and living rooms. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these decorative columns provide solid wood-like impact strength without cracking over time. Designed with a hollow core, they are NON-LOAD-BEARING; structural loads require an internal steel support column (pouring concrete inside is strictly forbidden). Available in standard diameters of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 80 cm with smooth or fluted shafts and Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian capitals. Delivered pre-primed in white acrylic, they mount using PU assembly adhesive and countersunk screws.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Polure interior architectural columns support ceiling weight?
No, they are strictly decorative and NON-LOAD-BEARING. An internal steel structural column must be installed if support is needed.
Can concrete be poured inside an interior architectural column?
No, pouring concrete inside the hollow column core is strictly forbidden as expansion during curing will split the polyurethane.
What diameters and capital styles are available?
Standard diameters are 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 80 cm with smooth or fluted shafts and Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian capitals.
How are column joint seams finished during installation?
