Exterior Polyurethane Accents

Polure exterior polyurethane accents are high-performance architectural embellishments designed to enhance building facades, pediments, and window surrounds. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these exterior products provide structural resilience against hail and mechanical impacts that far surpasses fragile EPS or plaster. The closed-cell material features less than 1% water absorption, ensuring total immunity to rot, swelling, or mold under rain and snow. Supplied factory-primed with white acrylic primer, they are ready for exterior painting. Installation involves thorough surface cleaning, making 45-degree miter joints with a fine-tooth saw, applying PU assembly adhesive to all contact boundaries, and fastening with screws. Joints and screw heads are puttied, sanded with 180-220 grit paper, and painted with UV-resistant facade paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What density are exterior polyurethane accents manufactured in?

They are produced in high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), providing wood-like strength and resistance to hail.

Are exterior polyurethane accents affected by rain or frost?

No, with water absorption below 1%, they remain completely intact across temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C.

How are exterior polyurethane accents attached to outdoor walls?

They require a dual mounting system of continuous PU assembly adhesive and mechanical screw fasteners.

Is exterior painting mandatory for exterior polyurethane accents?

Yes, while factory pre-primed in white, they must be finished outdoors with elastic UV-resistant exterior paint to prevent UV discoloration.
