Exterior Eave Molding

Polure exterior eave moldings are high-performance architectural cornices designed to trim roof overhangs, cornices, and exterior facade transitions. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these exterior moldings deliver severe weather and hail impact resistance far outperforming traditional EPS foam or timber. Closed-cell polyurethane limits water absorption to under 1%, preventing mold growth, swelling, or rotting across extreme thermal shifts between -100 °C / +80 °C. Factory-coated with a white acrylic primer, they are prepared for exterior finish applications. Installation requires dry wall preparation, cutting 45° miter joints with a fine-tooth saw, spreading a continuous layer of PU assembly adhesive along contact surfaces and butt joins, and anchoring with screws. Joints and screw recesses are filled with facade putty, sanded (180-220 grit), and painted with elastic UV-resistant exterior paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What density polyurethane is used for exterior eave molding?

It is crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), providing wood-like mechanical durability.

Will exterior eave molding rot or decay under snow and rain?

No, water absorption is under 1%, ensuring complete immunity to rot, mold, and moisture damage.

What is the recommended installation method for exterior eave molding?

Apply continuous PU assembly adhesive on back faces and joins, supplemented by mechanical screw anchoring.

Is exterior painting required for exterior eave molding?

Yes, while factory pre-primed in white, it must be painted outdoors with elastic UV-resistant exterior paint.
