Column Base Profile
Polure column base profiles provide a grounded classical plinth moulding for exterior portico columns, interior hall pillars, and wall pilasters. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these bases replicate traditional Attic and Tuscan plinth profiles with mechanical strength that withstands floor-level impacts and moisture. Featuring a closed-cell composition with water absorption under 1%, they will not rot, swell, or deteriorate near wet ground or porch slabs. Operating reliably across -100 °C / +80 °C with Class B2 fire safety, they arrive pre-coated in white acrylic primer. Installation is completed using continuous PU assembly adhesive, countersunk screws, and UV-resistant exterior paint.
Frequently Asked Questions
What material is used for the Polure column base profile?
It is crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), providing wood-like impact resistance, light weight, and Class B2 fire safety.
What column diameters do column bases fit?
Polure column bases are sized to fit standard column shaft diameters (20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 80 cm) in both full-round and half-pilaster formats.
Are column base profiles water-resistant at ground level?
Yes, with water absorption under 1% and rot-proof composition, they do not absorb moisture from wet porch slabs or cleaning water.
How is the column base profile installed at the floor level?
Base halves are fitted around the structural post or column shaft using continuous PU assembly adhesive and secured with countersunk screws.
