Facade Window Surround

Polure facade window surrounds deliver complete architectural framing and three-dimensional depth for exterior window openings across modern and classical building elevations. Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these exterior window trims combine wood-like mechanical durability and hail-proof impact protection while eliminating heavy structural loads on water-resistant wall facades. Engineered with a closed-cell polymer structure with water absorption under 1%, they will never absorb rainwater, swell, rot, or harbor algae and mold. Thermally stable across extreme temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C and rated B2 for fire safety, they arrive pre-coated with factory white acrylic technical primer. Installation requires cutting 45° miter joints with a fine-tooth saw, applying continuous PU assembly adhesive along rear wall contact faces and miter edges, and anchoring with direct countersunk screws. Fill screw holes and joints with facade filler, sand smooth (180-220 grit), and paint with UV-resistant exterior facade paint.

Frequently Asked Questions

What material is used for Polure facade window surrounds?

They are manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), offering hail resistance, B2 fire rating, and high impact durability.

Will facade window surrounds crack or rot in freezing winter weather?

No, with water absorption below 1% and thermal stability from -100 °C / +80 °C, they will not absorb moisture, rot, swell, or freeze-crack.

How are facade window surrounds secured to exterior walls?

They are installed using a dual attachment system combining continuous PU assembly adhesive and mechanical countersunk screws. Silicone is forbidden.

What paint finish should be applied to facade window surrounds?

After sanding joints (180-220 grit), apply two coats of UV-resistant exterior facade paint to prevent solar yellowing.
