Doric Bases
Polure Doric bases offer robust classical foundation plinths designed to anchor Doric decorative columns and pilasters. Molded from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), these hollow bases provide wood-like mechanical durability and impact resistance while remaining light enough to eliminate structural stress on floor slabs. Featuring a closed-cell polymer structure with water absorption under 1%, they offer total protection against humidity, dampness, and mold growth. Operating reliably across temperatures from -100 °C / +80 °C with Class B2 fire safety certification, each base comes factory pre-coated with white acrylic primer. Note that Polure Doric bases are strictly decorative non-load-bearing components; structural column loads must be supported by an internal steel profile. Never pour concrete inside. Installation requires applying continuous polyurethane assembly adhesive on contact joints (silicone is strictly forbidden) and securing with countersunk mechanical screws. Fill screw holes with putty, sand smooth with 180-220 grit paper, and apply two coats of paint.
