Commercial decor materials are high-performance architectural decoration elements engineered for high-traffic environments such as hotels, cafes, restaurants, showrooms, and corporate offices, offering a blend of refined aesthetics and structural durability. Structural components specified in commercial projects must not only fulfill visual expectations but also withstand physical impacts, friction, and frequent cleaning routines. Developed with high-density molding technology, these polyurethane solutions eliminate the fragility of traditional plaster, the moisture deformation risks of solid wood, and the heavy structural load associated with concrete-based elements.
Material Selection and Functionality in Commercial Architecture
Effective schedule management and structural load control are critical requirements in commercial architectural projects. Manufactured from rigid polymer with a high density of 150-220 kg/m³ (production target ~160 kg/m³), these decorative components install without imposing additional dead weight on building frames compared to heavy solid alternatives. Their lightweight advantage enables rapid spatial updates in commercial venues. While constructing traditional masonry fireplaces demands extended schedules, modular electric artificial flame units can be mechanically secured and ready for operation within hours.
- Impact Resistance: A rigid interior structure that preserves its form against luggage, equipment, or furniture bumps in high-traffic corridors and lounges.
- Moisture and Water Resistance: Featuring a closed-cell formulation with a water absorption rate below 1%, ensuring no swelling or mold formation in wet-cleaned areas.
- Fire Safety Standard: Produced in accordance with B2 fire classification standards, exhibiting self-extinguishing properties once the direct flame source is removed.
- Lightweight Structural Compatibility: A light, manageable form safely preferred for multi-story buildings, roof terraces, and suspended ceilings.
Electric Fireplace Mantels and Space Focal Point Design
Establishing a compelling focal point in hotel lobbies or main restaurant dining rooms elevates the overall architectural concept. Electric artificial flame systems such as models PH10GSI (145x810x870 mm) and PH20GSI (220x750x627 mm) provide visual warmth without operational challenges like smoke, ash, or odor. Integrated with decorative frames and surrounds, these units can be incorporated into projects without building permits or chimney infrastructure. Featuring LED flame simulation and heating modes, they allow year-round continuous operation.
Decorative Planter Systems for Landscaping and Space Separation
Commercial-grade planter models like PTS1030 fulfill spatial partitioning and pedestrian direction needs across indoor and outdoor environments. Remaining dimensionally stable within a wide temperature range from -100 °C / +80 °C, these elements offer long-lasting landscape solutions for terrace and courtyard applications.
Application Flexibility and Surface Preparation
Products are delivered with a factory-applied primer coat, preparing the surface for final painting. However, because paint manufacturers do not guarantee paint adhesion on surfaces without their proprietary priming systems, applying an additional coat of primer on-site is optional at the installer's discretion. The manufacturer provides no warranty regarding final topcoats chosen on-site.
Usage Areas
Solutions in the commercial decor category offer a broad scope of application possibilities. Indoors, they are widely specified to create aesthetic focal points in 5-star hotel reception lobbies, concept restaurants, VIP lounges, corporate entrances, residential common areas, and retail display windows. Outdoors, they function as boundary markers and spatial dividers on cafe terraces, restaurant gardens, poolside landscapes, hotel courtyards, and shopping center exteriors. Thanks to their resistance to water, direct sunlight, and temperature variations, they can be specified with confidence across both interior and exterior architectural projects.
Installation
Prior to installation, ensure the application wall or floor surface is thoroughly dry, clean, and free of dust or grease. For electric fireplace mantels (PH10GSI or PH20GSI), calculate niche dimensions precisely and complete electrical infrastructure in advance. Profile corner joints require 45-degree miter cuts. Apply polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive to all joint surfaces; silicone adhesives must never be used. Due to heavy foot traffic in commercial settings, mechanical fastening with screws and wall anchors is mandatory alongside adhesives. Screw heads and seams should be filled with suitable putty and sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper. Although products feature a factory primer, applying an additional coat of primer is optional for paint manufacturer warranty requirements. Follow with at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. Use UV-resistant exterior paint for outdoor installations.
Care Information
Product maintenance is straightforward and efficient. For periodic cleaning, wiping with a damp microfiber cloth or mild detergent solution is sufficient. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents and hard brushes to protect the surface coating. Periodically clear dust from ventilation channels on electric fireplace units, and verify that drainage holes on outdoor planters remain open.
