Where Aesthetics Meets Durability on Exterior Facades
As indispensable elements of classical architecture, facade ornamentation plays a vital role in defining a building's visual identity. At Polure, our next-generation polyurethane window trims and pediments eliminate the heavy weight and fragility of traditional plaster ornaments, while completely solving the high maintenance costs and rot issues associated with wood. All product groups in our window trim category feature a high-density (150-200 kg/m³) rigid structure that offers wood-like hardness, yet remains exceptionally lightweight to avoid adding unnecessary load to your building. This lightweight design enhances installation safety, especially in high-rise projects, and significantly reduces labor time.
Technical Superiority and Structural Stability
Material quality is critical for exterior facade elements directly exposed to harsh weather conditions. These specialized series by Polure maintain their structural integrity without any deformation, even under extreme temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C. Thanks to their closed-cell structure, their water absorption rate is below 1%. This prevents moisture and rainwater from penetrating the material, eliminating chronic issues like cracking, peeling, or swelling. Compared to fragile materials like expanded polystyrene (EPS), these products are highly impact-resistant and deliver flawless visual appeal with sharp details and crisp motifs.
Architectural Diversity and Project Flexibility
Our extensive product range includes decorative window accessories and complementary pieces suitable for any concept, from prestigious villas to luxury hotel projects. With a wide variety of dimensions ranging from large-scale designs (such as P8021A - 267x652x493 mm) to minimal accents (P9003B - 81x176x228 mm), we ensure a perfect fit for every architectural scale. The smooth surface finish achieved through CNC technology allows our products to leave the factory pre-primed. Consequently, they can be easily painted with water-based or synthetic paints after installation. Please note that since unpainted rigid foam can be affected by long-term sunlight exposure, applying a UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory for outdoor applications.
Investment Value and Repairability
For architects, contractors, and discerning homeowners, a building's long-term maintenance costs are just as important as the initial investment. Manufactured with advanced polymer technology, our decorative trim collection can be easily repaired locally even if subjected to impact. The surface can be sanded, filled with acrylic putty, and repainted. Featuring self-extinguishing properties, these products do not fuel fire and extinguish themselves once the flame source is removed, ensuring safe usage. Designed with Polure quality, our window trim elements not only add aesthetic value to your buildings but also provide functional benefits by contributing to thermal and acoustic insulation.
Usage Areas
Window trims and complementary accessories are utilized across a wide spectrum, from exterior facade designs to interior details. On exteriors, they are used to create aesthetic header corners at the upper corners of windows and doors. They add a prestigious look to buildings at the termination points of floor cornices, pediment details, and the crowning of building entrances. Indoors, they are preferred as decorative appliques at the upper junctions of door frames, or as rich ornamental elements on wide mirror frames and fireplace surrounds. They are widely used in hotel lobbies, historical restoration projects, and luxury residential designs to soften architectural transitions and create elegant focal points.
Installation
Proper surface preparation is critical for a successful application. The installation surface must be completely dry and free of dust, moisture, and grease. Precise 45-degree miter cuts should be made for the trim joints. A high-strength, specialized PU adhesive (such as Polure Polfix) must be applied to the back of the products; silicone-based adhesives should never be used. In addition to the adhesive, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to secure heavy pieces safely. Screw heads and joints should be filled with exterior-grade putty and sanded smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper. Finally, the installation is completed by applying at least two coats of UV-resistant exterior paint over the factory-applied primer.
Care Information
Featuring a rigid cellular structure, these decorative elements require minimal maintenance after installation. For cleaning, a soft cloth dampened with water or mild, non-abrasive cleaners is sufficient. Chemical solvents should be avoided as they can damage the painted surface. We recommend inspecting exterior products once a year and washing away accumulated dust. If you wish to refresh the color years later, you can lightly sand the surface and repaint it with any exterior paint of your choice.
