Featuring a closed-cell structure, our rigid polyurethane foam boasts a negligible water absorption rate of under 1%, making it completely immune to moisture, rot, and mildew. It maintains its dimensional stability without warping, shrinking, or expanding in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C. In addition to contributing to thermal and acoustic insulation, this advanced material is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing once the ignition source is removed. Please note that raw, unpainted polyurethane may yellow over time under direct UV exposure; therefore, applying a UV-resistant topcoat for exterior installations is highly recommended.
\n\nFactory Priming and Painting Guidelines
\nOur products are shipped with a factory-applied premium primer coat designed to maximize topcoat adhesion. However, paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee coating performance unless their proprietary priming systems are used. Consequently, applying an additional primer coat post-installation is optional and at the customer's discretion. Polure does not warrant or accept liability for the long-term performance of third-party paints or paint-related issues. Once surface preparation is complete, the products can be finished with two coats of high-quality water-based or synthetic exterior paint.

Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure the application surface is clean, dry, and level. Measure and cut the window trim profiles at a 45-degree miter angle using professional cutting tools to ensure seamless corner joints. For bonding, use only high-performance polyurethane (PU) construction adhesive; silicone-based adhesives must not be used. To ensure a secure fit and long-term safety, mechanical fastening with screws is MANDATORY. Fill all screw holes and joints with a premium exterior-grade filler, and once dry, sand smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper. Finally, after an optional primer coat, apply two coats of UV-resistant exterior paint to complete the installation.
Care Information
Thanks to their closed-cell, high-density rigid foam structure, these window surrounds retain their integrity for decades with minimal maintenance. For cleaning, simply use a soft cloth with mild, non-abrasive soapy water. Avoid pointing high-pressure washers directly at the profiles. Any hairline joint cracks caused by natural building settling or minor impact damages can be easily repaired. Simply fill the affected areas with exterior spackling, sand smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and apply a local touch-up paint to restore their pristine appearance.
