An entryway is the ultimate focal point of any architectural design. Polure Combination Sets are fully integrated systems designed to transform standard door openings and passageways into structural masterpieces. Eliminating the heavy static load and deformation risks associated with traditional woodwork or heavy plaster casts, these polyurethane door surround systems offer a surface hardness close to real wood with a density of 150-200 kg/m³. Engineered to bring a prestigious aesthetic to high-end architectural projects, these sets add depth and grandeur to wall transitions, particularly in high-ceilinged residences, luxury hotel lobbies, and exclusive villa designs.
These profiles surrounding the door openings are manufactured from a high-performance, closed-cell polymer. This advanced material provides outstanding resistance to moisture, humidity, and water, ensuring it will not warp, crack, or swell over time. For interior designers and architects, this structural stability translates to zero maintenance costs and long-term durability.
Scale and Proportion: Architectural Combination Options
Achieving the perfect proportions in grand entryways requires precise planning. Our collection features pre-configured combinations optimized to adapt to various heights and widths:
- KKAP11: Measuring 217x2000x2580 mm, this model offers balanced proportions for wider-than-average door openings.
- KKAP29: With dimensions of 257x2080x2630 mm, its bolder profile depth creates striking relief details and elegant shadow play on walls.
- KKAP30: Standing at an impressive 220x2160x2960 mm, this monumental set draws a majestic vertical line ideal for high-ceilinged mansion entrances or grand hotel ballrooms.
These pre-assembled sets significantly reduce cutting and joining times on-site, enhancing overall installation quality. The crisp, sharp details of the profiles rival the precision of traditional hand-carved woodwork.
Usage Areas
Our Combination Sets offer a versatile range of applications for both interior and exterior designs. Indoors, they serve as decorative door casings for wide foyer transitions, living room entrances, luxury hotel suites, and ballroom doorways. With a water absorption rate of less than 1%, they are highly recommended for high-humidity wet areas such as bathrooms, spas, and indoor pools. For exterior applications, they elevate the facades of prestigious villas, high-end storefronts, and hotel entrances, giving them a monumental presence. Additionally, their lightweight nature makes them ideal for historical restoration projects, allowing authentic facade replication without adding structural load to the building.
Installation
Installing the Combination Sets requires precision to ensure long-lasting durability and flawless aesthetics. First, the wall and door frame surfaces must be completely dry and free of dust, grease, and moisture. Corner joints should be precisely miter-cut at a 45-degree angle. Never use silicone-based adhesives; instead, opt for high-strength polyurethane adhesives such as Polure Polfix. Once the adhesive is applied, the elements must be mechanically secured to the wall using screws or nails. Fill screw holes and joints with a high-quality joint filler. After drying, sand the surface smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper. The products come factory-primed and should be finished with at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. For exterior installations, using UV-resistant paint is mandatory.
Care Information
Thanks to their rigid cellular structure, these decorative elements require exceptionally low maintenance. Resistant to rot, insects, and mold, the surface can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Mild soapy water is sufficient; avoid abrasive chemical cleaners. For exterior door surrounds, an annual wash with water is recommended to remove dust and environmental buildup. If you wish to change the color scheme or refresh the space in the future, the surface can be lightly sanded and repainted in any desired color.
