Unlike the fragility of plaster or the knotty texture of wood, these products offer a highly homogeneous surface quality. The factory-applied primer coat prepares the surface for the final topcoat. Water-based or synthetic paints can be easily applied to the surface of the products.
Key Considerations for Painting and Priming
The specialized factory-applied primer is designed to enhance paint adhesion. However, to ensure the ultimate quality and durability of the finish, an important detail must be considered. Paint manufacturers do not guarantee topcoat applications performed directly without using their own proprietary primers. Therefore, applying an additional primer coat after installation is entirely optional, and the choice and responsibility lie with the user. Polure does not guarantee or assume liability for the performance of third-party paint and primer products. For outdoor applications, UV-resistant paints must be preferred to prevent yellowing caused by solar radiation.

With a water absorption rate below 1%, they can be safely installed in high-humidity environments such as bathrooms, spa areas, and indoor pool surrounds. For exterior designs, they can be integrated with column capitals, cornices, or entrance portals. When used outdoors, they must be protected with UV-resistant exterior paints due to direct exposure to sunlight.
Installation
The wall surface to be applied must be completely clean, dry, and free of dust. First, the installation boundaries should be clearly marked using a spirit level. For corner joints, miter cutting should be performed at a 45-degree angle. During the bonding phase, only polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive must be used; silicone-based adhesives must be strictly avoided. Mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory to ensure the frame fits snugly against the wall and does not slip. Screw heads and joints should be filled with a high-quality joint filler. Once the filler dries, the surface is smoothed using 180-220 grit sandpaper. After an optional additional primer coat is applied, the process is completed with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. For exterior applications, fillers suitable for outdoor use must be applied to the joints.
Care Information
Cleaning the frames made of high-density rigid foam is highly practical. For dusting and general cleaning, we recommend using a slightly damp, soft microfiber cloth. Harsh chemical cleaners containing acids, thinners, bleach, or abrasive particles must never be used, as they can damage the paint finish. The glass surface inside the frame can be cleaned with standard glass cleaners, but care should be taken to prevent these liquids from accumulating in the frame channels. Structurally resistant to impacts, these products retain their shape and color for many years with proper maintenance.
