Designed to create a striking visual frame at the ceiling-to-wall transitions of spacious interiors, the P83091B patterned polyurethane cornice seamlessly blends the rich relief details of classical architecture with modern manufacturing technology. With its generous 17.5 cm width and height, it softens ceiling transitions in high-ceilinged living rooms, hotel lobbies, and prestigious projects, adding monumental depth to the structure. This wide profile defines ceiling boundaries while balancing the vertical scale of the space, transforming ordinary wall transitions into noble architectural features.
The product is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-200 kg/m³). This structural density, comparable to the hardness of wood, ensures excellent impact resistance while allowing easy cutting and processing during installation. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, its moisture absorption rate is below 1%, completely preventing deformations like cracking, swelling, or peeling commonly seen in traditional plaster or MDF profiles. Furthermore, it maintains its dimensional stability under temperature fluctuations ranging from -20°C to +80°C.
The surface features circular curves, foliage motifs, and symmetrical reliefs that embody the characteristic elements of classical and neoclassical design styles. Delivered from the factory with a specialized primer coating, this polyurethane profile provides a smooth surface that enhances paint adhesion. Applying an additional primer coat is optional and left to the user's discretion, depending on the paint brand and manufacturer warranties, as paint companies may not guarantee applications over third-party primers. Polure cannot be held responsible for the performance of paint brands.
Thanks to its wide cross-section and water-resistant properties, this model is ideal not only for interior spaces like living rooms and bedrooms but also for exterior applications such as under-eaves, terrace ceilings, and exterior moldings. For outdoor installations, coating the material with UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory to prevent yellowing from sun exposure. Significantly lighter than plaster alternatives, this polyurethane ceiling element adds no structural load to the building and maximizes installation safety on high ceilings.
During the installation of this polyurethane profile, 45-degree miter boxes are used for precise cuts. Polure Polfix adhesive must be used for joints and wall bonding; silicone-based products should be avoided as they do not provide sufficient strength. Due to its large dimensions, mechanical screwing is mandatory for secure fastening. Once screw heads and joints are filled with a suitable joint filler and sanded, a flawless finish is achieved by applying two coats of water-based or synthetic paint.
- With its prominent 17.5 cm profile, the P83091B cornice is ideal for spacious rooms with ceiling heights of 2.80 meters and above, such as grand living rooms, wide entrance halls, luxury restaurants, and hotel lobbies
- Offering complete resistance to water and moisture, it can be safely used on bathroom ceilings
- For exterior applications, it is preferred under eaves, along story moldings, and on outdoor ceiling details to crown the architecture
- When used outdoors, coating it with UV-resistant paint extends its aesthetic lifespan
- The installation surface must be clean and dry
- The profile is cut at 45-degree angles using a miter saw
- Only Polure Polfix adhesive should be used for bonding; silicone must be avoided
- Due to the profile's weight and width, mechanical fastening to the wall and ceiling with screws is mandatory
- Screw holes and joint seams are filled with acrylic filler, and once dry, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper
- After an optional additional primer coat is applied according to paint manufacturers' standards, two coats of paint are applied
- It can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth
- Abrasive chemicals or stiff brushes that could damage the surface texture should not be used during cleaning
- Thanks to its rot-proof, mold-resistant, and insect-resistant structure, it retains its original form throughout the building's lifespan without requiring maintenance in interior spaces
- It can be repainted in the future if a change in decoration is desired
