Our product, model code P85002W, is a high-quality decorative element designed to create an aesthetic focal point in wall decorations and above-door or window applications. Commonly referred to as a molding corner or decorative pediment, this exquisite design brings the majestic details of classical architecture into modern living spaces. It is the perfect alternative for enriching corner transitions in wall paneling projects or creating a grand lintel over doorways.
Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this product offers the durability of hardwood while remaining remarkably lightweight compared to traditional materials like plaster. With a height of 28.5 cm, a width of 92.3 cm, and a thickness of 3.4 cm, it creates a striking relief effect. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it is moisture-resistant, helping reduce swelling, cracking, or rotting over time.
At the heart of the P85002W model lies a classic scallop shell motif, beautifully framed by symmetrical leaf and floral garlands extending to both sides. The elegant curved lines at the bottom ensure a seamless transition when integrated with wall moldings. Thanks to advanced molding technology, micro-details such as leaf veins and flower petals are exceptionally sharp and clean. This rich relief structure allows applied paint to gain depth through subtle plays of light and shadow.
This versatile decorative element is highly favored for wall framing projects in spacious living rooms, headboard accent walls in bedrooms, and prestigious commercial spaces like hotel lobbies. It can also be placed as an elegant crown atop mirrors and picture frames. For exterior designs, it can be safely used as a decorative pediment over window and door casings, lending a classic palace-like architectural aesthetic to the building facade.
Delivered with a factory-applied primer, our product ensures excellent adhesion for the final coat of paint. While paint manufacturers often require their own primers for warranty purposes—making an additional coat optional based on user preference—its lightweight, shatterproof nature makes installation significantly faster than plaster alternatives. We highly recommend using Polure Polfix adhesive and mechanical fastening during installation.
- Due to its design features, this product offers a wide range of applications for both interior and exterior spaces
- Indoors, it can be used as an elegant crown at the top corners or directly at the center of large molding frames on living room walls
- In bedroom boiserie (wainscoting) applications, it serves as an aesthetic frame complement to highlight the wall behind the headboard
- When placed as a pediment above door frames in hallways and entryways, it adds a sense of depth and height to the space
- It is also preferred for creating a prestigious atmosphere in commercial areas such as hotel lobbies, restaurants, luxury offices, and showrooms
- In exterior designs, it can be used as a decorative keystone or pediment above window and door casings, becoming a classic facade detail that enhances the architectural value of the building
- Installation of the P85002W model should be carried out on a clean, dry, and smooth surface
- Apply Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive to the back of the product
- Silicone-based adhesives must absolutely not be used during installation
- Once the adhesive is applied, place the product on the wall and secure it mechanically with screws until fully cured
- Fill screw heads and any gaps between the wall and the product with acrylic caulk
- After the caulk dries, sand with 180-220 grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth surface
- Although the factory-applied primer is ready for paint, an additional coat of primer may be preferred in line with paint manufacturers' warranty conditions
- In the final step, apply at least two coats of water-based or synthetic paint
- For exterior installations, the use of UV-resistant paint is mandatory
- Maintenance of polyurethane decorative products is highly practical
- Thanks to its closed-cell structure, which is resistant to water and moisture, you can easily clean this product of dust by wiping it with a slightly damp, soft cloth
- Harsh, abrasive cleaning chemicals or solvent-based solutions that could damage the paint surface should not be used during cleaning
- In case of any impacts or scratches, the damaged area can be quickly filled, sanded, and spot-painted to restore its original appearance
- For exterior applications, it is recommended to periodically check the paint to ensure it maintains its UV resistance and repaint if necessary
Can it be used on exterior facades?
Yes, thanks to its closed-cell structure, the P85002W model is resistant to water and moisture, making it safe for exterior use. However, to protect it from the yellowing effects of sunlight (UV), it must be painted with a high-quality, UV-resistant exterior paint.
Which adhesive should be used for installation?
For a secure and long-lasting bond, Polure Polfix polyurethane adhesive should be used. Silicone or similar flexible adhesives should be avoided as they may stretch over time. Additionally, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory during installation.
Can it be painted directly, or is a primer required?
Our product comes factory-coated with a special primer, providing a surface that is ready to paint. However, since paint brands do not guarantee applications done without their own primers, applying an additional coat of primer is optional and left to the customer's preference.
What are its advantages compared to plaster or wood products?
Polyurethane is extremely lightweight and shatterproof compared to plaster. Unlike wood, it is resistant to moisture, water, and pests, and helps reduce warping or cracking over time. Furthermore, its high-density structure delivers much sharper and smoother details.
Which projects are its dimensions suitable for?
With a height of 28.5 cm and a width of 92.3 cm, this model is ideally sized for use in medium to large-scale wall paneling projects and as a pediment over standard or wide doorways. Its generous width allows it to create a prominent focal point in any space.
